Corneal Disorders

Some of the corneal disorder cases have been diagnosed and managed are as below:

Early Keratoconus

Patient: African male, mid 20's

 

Symptoms: Small prints were blurry with one eye for 1 week, blinkings helped to clear the vision for a few seconds.

​

Signs: Other signs were subtle and not enough for confirming the diagnosis. Corneal topography showed and confirmed the diagnosis of an early keratoconus.

​

Guide: Good corneal topographer is essential for diagnosis of many corneal disorders, especially important in their early stages, and for monitoring and managing those conditions accordingly.
